Did you get here after seeing something that I made but
don't see it here or are you looking for that special
something that you just can't quite find?  I do many custom
items that I do not offer on a regular basis.  Some items have
a smaller demand or maybe I might have less material
available to make that item regularly.  That is why you may
not find photos of it here or on my eBay stores.  You can
check the Gallery for other items that I have made for others
in the past.  If its not here, just ask.  I welcome custom items
and enjoy the challenge of making something new.  Many of
the items you see available now started from
"I don't know if
you can do this, but I'm really interested in..."
I don't know about you, but I know that I have a hard time
ordering hand made items online.  Sometimes what I get looks
nothing like pictured and too many times I have been burned by
items that just don't hold the quality that is advertised.
Disappointment has inspired me to do things differently than
others.  First, with the pictures that I take, I try to show the
"plainer" side.  Such as in fire pistons, I try to show a piece with
the plainest wood grain.  You may receive a fire piston with
similar grain but you may receive one that is more highly figured.
But I will not be misleading by showing you the prettiest piece I
have.  In some items, if we are picking the nicest materials for a
particular model, we let you know.  Not matter what though, the
working quality of the fire piston, and all the items I make, will be
made to the best of my ability.

One of the best tips I got about ordering items online is to check
multiple sources.  What do others say about the quality of the
item?  Ask yourself: How long does it take to ship?  Do they over
charge for shipping?  (Such as paying the $5.00 for priority mail
but then having it delivered by standard snail mail.) How do they
package their item for protection?  What is their return policy and
guarantee?

Check out my product guarantee, return policy and my shipping
and handling policy.  As far as other sources, ask your forums
friends.  Check out my favorite forums and the feedback at both
eBay stores at
